Tomorrow's the day

Tomorrow I enlist in the US Armed Services. Specifically the Air Guard. This is the first big step of my life. I'm 18 and in a few months I'll be gone from home (and my beloved Mopar). I'll be training to be a weather specialist. I'll be in Texas, Mississippi, and North Carolina. Crazy to think a month ago I was freaking out about a Pre Calculus exam.

Anyways, just wanted to share this. Over the past year and a half y'all have become family. I've had the pleasure of meeting a few of y'all, and I'm sure I'll meet more of you along the way. Thanks for everything you guys.

Plan is to do my 6 year enlistment, get a degree and then commission. Gonna finish my 20 and retire. I figure if I'm gonna do 20 I might as well be an officer.

Great to hear, I did 25 years between the USN/USAF. Biggest piece of advice I can give you suck it up for the first year and play by the rules like it is a game you want to win and you will do great. Enjoy it it can be the best time of your life if you let it.

I tried calculus twice. The first time the prof was a hard arse and I flunked.
The second time I squeaked by with a better prof.
Weather, calculus and joining the Air Guard. Smart man.
Merlins are cool. A finally saw one.

I'm glad to see you have a plan. I have a 22 year old working for me with out a diploma. He lives out of a motel, basically no plan. Hell he can't remember yesterday. You have given me hope.
