is there a way to tell where a torque converter came from .....part numbers anywhere??? any way to know what the stall is ?

The stock ones have a part # I think. I know Turbo Action has a part # on theres and if you call they can tell you everything about it. when it was built what the specs are and if its been back for a rebuild.

i have three original ones on the shelf and i didnt mark them bcoz i thought i would have a good memory forever .......well now i want to pair off the transmission with their original torque converters and i dont know which one goes where.

Rani,the D/C chassis book posts the part numbers.I.I.R.C.,6 digits,followed by a k.Hope this helps.

Didn't some have different colors or paint parkings on them? I think I had a B&M converter that had blue on it over the black. Some you can look at and tell to by the weights or the size of the round drum part. I just started marking my parts just incase I forget someday, but still have an awesome memory :D
