Torque for 8.25 rear end gears

recently had 3.55 gears installed in my 8.25. On the way home I realized that when I slowed down there was a crazy amount of noise in the rear end. I’m thinking the backlash is not set right. Is there anyway I can set the backlash with out pulling it all apart again? What’s the easiest way I can do this and what should The torque be with a fully loaded rear end?

You can get some out of the side adjusters, would have to check the FSM for the preload.
