I put lower c/a bushings in my car. When I try to put the bars back in, the front end looks like it will be either too high or too low , based on where the adjuster is. I rebuilt the front end on a 69 dart I had 20 yrs ago and did'nt have this problem..Is there something I'm missing while putting this back together???Thanks for any help

Make sure you have the car jacked up on the frame and push the lower control arm down as low as it will go. Then stab the torsion bar.

The car is on jack stands,,but the lca is not down as far as it will go. I bolted everything together but left it loose, then tried putting the bar back in. I'll try that in the morning, Thanks

Unhook the spindle from the upper & lower arms.....push the lower arm down as far as it can go....install the torsion bar. Then use a jack to raise the lower arm up and re-install the spindle. Good luck....you're there.

Some folks even remove the round-nosed rubber bump block underneath the UCA to gain a bit more sag. You did say you didn't tighten the nuts on the LCA pivot shafts, right?

thanx, that helped. I have one side back together. Hopefully the other side will be done this week.. I dont remember it being this much of a pain in the @#@# last time I did a front end. I also was 20 yrs younger and I had the motor out so there was more room
