I know that torsion bars are specific side-to-side, and are marked left and right. Is there also a front and rear? I'm completely restoring Cudavert's ('64 A-body) suspension along with the v8/4-sp conversion, and would like to complete the reassembly correctly the first time.

Thanks in advance,
Stroker

It really doesn't matter which way though as Mike say's the numbers on the end would normally go toward the back.
What you DON'T do is change them later and make them twist the other direction once they have taken a set in one direction.

It doesn't matter. As long as you install the R on the passenger side and the L on the drivers side, your fine. Weather you install them one end first or the other, the twist on the bar is the same.
