i'm not sure either,someone here will know the difference on what's what.
I guess I stated that wrong. .870 340 bars are 890 & 891.
340 bars are 892-893's
890-891 bars are the /6 w/air and 318 no air bars. The DC race book is wrong. I looked this up before in the 70-71 and 72 parts manuals

I don't know about that. I just took two out of a H code original 72 Duster, 890 and 891? And I took two out of a 69 340 Dart, same thing 890 and 891?

i already have 890-891 bars in my car now, was a /6 to a 340, i'm thinking they should be fine. what's really the big difference?

I believe the Diameter is the big difference, for traditional driving/ ride height, it shouldn't be a big issue.
892/893 are the "340" bars, I've cleaned and re-sold a few pairs. Find 'em under 273-318 cars with A/C, the occassional slant mobile with A/C or the odd HD suspension cars. 340 cars? Haven't seen one in a 'yard in years.
