I have the stock 273 2bbl torsion bars that are .85" I found some bb a-body bars that are .89" Would the .89" bars be over kill for my little Valiant with a 340 and front sway bar? I have seen most people like the .89 bars in their sb 67 and up a-bodies. Thanks.

Tom Condran (Performance Handling for Mopars) recommends the .89 bars for a car with a 340!

I have the "heavy duty" (892/893) bars in my Barracuda, .87. They came with the Formula S package. They are the commonly called 340 bars. The .89 are called the 383 bars.

Hey Dave.
I have the 383 bars in my 65 slant car and love them. They will give you a nice firm feel without being overly stiff.
They just raised the bar prices, have you found them cheaper somewhere?

A FABO member had a set. Lost the ones that were on ebag. More than what I wanted to pay. Would rather deal with an FABO member.

they are 299.95 at summit for them(plus only 10.95 for shipping and no tax), dcc-5249150.....................what were they on ebag?

Mopar Performance jacked us on the bars. Two or three yrs ago I bought the 383 bars from them for $150.00.

they went for 102.50 not including shipping on the bag. yeah they (MP) are f'ing us good nowadays since thy lost a supplier. Paddock has them for 399.99. Madness.

i thought that mine were cheaper about 3 years ago.................$149 i thought......hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
