Trac width question???

Can someone please confirm what the difference is in track width for an A-body 8 3/4 housing with B-body backing plates vs. a-body plates?

I read on a thread here that the B-body backing plates and B-body type axles will inrease the trac width by a 1/2 inch. Is this correct?

We plan on using an A-body housing with the B-body brakes and Moser axles.....

If anyone has any thoughts or comments about this swap, please feel free to educate me.
