tranny failures need some info

Bought a turbo action reverse manual valve body. Took it down the road about 3 miles and back, and the reverse gear gets burned out. Had my tranny guy look at it said the aluminum piston had a crack in it. So we fix it drive it again same distance and back. Now the same thing rear band keeps getting fried. It's like the tranny trying to stay in reverse while in drive. Any body got some in put on this or even had this happen before?
 
Sounds strange. You could try and call Turbo Action, I know the older valve bodies use a different design than the newer TB valve bodies, can't remember what the change was anymore but maybe TB would have some info for you, I've heard they are easy to deal with and helpful.
