For my records!
I've searched high and low on line ect. Anyone out there have a book or knowledge on 727 casting numbers? (just want year built) 71?

outer case - 102-4

tail section - 4B32 1327

Above Pan - PK368 1863 4571 8112

Jim the first 7 numbers above the pan rail is the part number just take off the PK. So it's a 3681863. Mike's right about the 4571 being the date code. My chart shows it could also have been in a 75 car since it was made right on the 74 model year end but it don't matter since they were the same trans. Nothing is different in a 75 and 74. I sent you a link to the chart I use didn't I?
