trans.temp.sender ? install

Im hooking up a Autometer trans.temp. gauge (elect.)and im not sure where to put the sending unit on my 904 i dont see any plugs or any spot on trans. too install it. any info whould be helpfull !!!

I would think that it would have to be in a spot where it's constantly immersed in tranny fluid like maybe the trans pan. Just a thought.

Either straight into the pan or you can put a junction block in the tranny cooler line. But the pan is best in my opinion. And you will have to put your own insert in the pan unless you have or get a aluminum pan. Then you can just tap it and use the bushing that should come with the kit.

If your pan is steel, you can weld a bung. If it's aluminum, you can simply thread it with a 1/8 NPT tap.

The sender I used was 1/8" pipe thread so I removed one of the test port plugs and threaded it in there.
