Hi there,
I'm putting in a tf2 kit in a 1987 a998
It was originally a 1 wire lockup transmission.
From a D 100, V6 truck
It's been in my 69 Dart for a couple years just time to freshen it up.
Hughes performance in Phx. Modified the factory converter to a non lockup and they raised the stall to approx 2000 rpm.
(Back when I installed it in the car.)
So should I drill the valve body like the instructions say for lockup converter or not.
I realize it sounds obvious not to, but just making sure..
I wasn't sure if it effects anything else since it still has the original valve body...etc
Thank you

When I modified my 84 lockup I called the tech line and was told there was no need to drill. My trans works great with the deleted lockup converter.

BTW. Bag and tag the springs or you’ll be back here asking which one goes where. Hum...wonder how I know that.

Got it in today,
It works Awesome!!
Quick, firm shifts!

Thanks again!
