I recently installed a lokar transmission kick down cable onto my 727 transmission.

Per the instructions when setting the cable at full throttle the transmission kickdown lever was pulled all the way to the back.

For the first few miles it shifted to second fine and to third at about 45 mph or 2800 rpm. After a couple of days driving it now will not shift into third nor does it want to shift down consistently to first from second while in drive. While driving the car this morning with the the trani in drive it would not shift to third then the car started to slow down as if I had the breaks on. I shifted into neutral and it eased up then back into drive but once again it would not shift into third. Any ideas on what it may be, is the cable to tight?

sounds like the cable is too tight try loosening it up to get the shift points you desire
