Found a old 727 today with #s 6C172699 is that a real #?

This tranny is a 1966 jefferson built tranny.If you check near the oil pan rail you should find a 17 digit number on the oil pan rail,that I can ID for you.A example would be PK or PP,then a 2801540J then a four digit code 2238 and a three digit code 090.These are of my tranny.The PK stands for Kokomo,PP for the new process.The 7 digit code ID,s the tranny,the next four are the 10,000 day calendar date,2238=sept,13 1968.After that its the production sequence number for that day,090=90th tranny built that day.
