is there any differance from an 2006 stock ram automatic trans. and one from an 05 , i mean like internal differances? i know 2006 has mds , does this mean a bit of differance ? thanks ed

Not that I'm aware of, the factory service manual covers a number of years, I think 04-07 (Maybe don't quote me). So I don't think there is any difference.

I can let you know tomorrow if there is any difference, unfortunately I don't have the manual on this computer. :(

Regards,

Joe Dokes

Not to hijack, but does it matter if it is a 3.7, 4.7, or 5.7? Are they all the 545RFE?

They are still all the same... could be a 45rfe but it is the same as the 545rfe. The MDS only refers to the engine being able to shut down cylinders for fuel economy

The 45rfe needs a program update from the dealer to be a 545rfe.
