I got tired of looking at the multi colors on my hood, so I went and got some duplicolor jet black and put matt clear over it on my hood of my Race Car, what do you all think? This is only the second time painting for me.

Looks great and I agree that the one color looks a lot better than the multi.

Hey Mark ! I got it early last year from Member on Moparts from the midwest.
I have a 340 built by OU812 -IMM engines from Calf. It has gone 11.30 @ 119 mph
I always liked the Dart body and had to have one

Yes I am going to the Maple Grove Race
I only have one thing left to do to her and that is put her name on.
""WHIPLASH"

I wish I had the coin for a Hemi but my little 340 will do

I liked it better the original way, but still looks great! Mean looking dart!

That looks good! What did you use ,for a matte clear coat ? ( Nice E.T / trap speed, B.T.W...)

Hood looks great, don't paint the rest of the car.
Scotch-brite it and clear it with a quality clear to preserve it.

If you don't want to clear it wipe it down once in a while with automatic trans fluid on a damp rag, it will keep it from rusting and make the old paint shine, a little goes a long way.
