I just bought a dart swinger, for parts, and was trying to find a decode for the trim tag.
does anyone know where I can log on and get it decoded for free?
I really dont want to spent 20.00 buck to find out what rear end it has.Car is in fair shape ,but has the large bolt pattern I want for my 71 demon. There was no motor in it but it has some good interior parts in it,and I should have some for sale soon, when I can get it torn apart.
The trim tag is:
K5X 26 END
M26 M38 N38 N91 R11
J25 J52 L31 L73 M21 M25
V1L U A91 B41 G52 H51
FE5 E2L3 000 911 089671

i THINK THE CAR IS A 75.
I wanted to take the front disks of it and the rear drums off it and put it on a 71 demon I'm fixing up, but if the rearend was a sure grip, I want to keep it also. I am going to take the rear seat out and see if there is a build sheet still there. The car has not been on the street since 92, so it might still have the sheet under the seat.
Thanks for all the help, I can always find good help here!!! bob
I thought these #s would show the rear end but I cant pull it up.

The rear end came wth tags from the factory. If know one removed them they will tell you the ratio and if it is a suregrip.

is it a swinger or a dart? a swinger from 75 would be a long shot for a sure grip rear. the dart is a possibility. problem is the 75 is going to have a different rear more than likley. 7 1/4 maybe an 8 1/4. 71 demon if it was a 340 car will be 8 3/4. better check it out. check the tech section out and look under rear end i.d. guide

Since it has disc brakes it will be an 8 1/4. I have never seen, although anythings possible, a large bolt pattern 7 1/4.

I thought that after 73 everything went to large bolt pattern. I coulde be wrong but thats what i thought.

I thought the same thing until I bought a '75 Scamp /6 parts car this year and it is small bolt pattern.
