Trouble installing Z-Lok hood lock

Has anybody installed a z-lok hood lock on an A Body? I have followed their directions, but now I am stuck. Their directions call for the cable and it's housing to be mounted on the radiator support, while the other part of the lock should be mounted on the hood. There is no space. If you have one how did you mount it?

Where the hood meets the radiator support the metal is too thin. If I was to mount the bracket there the screws would go through the hood.
