fine at 900 rpm , once it gets hot , after about 10 min the revs go up to 1200-1500 in neutral . 1970 340 automatic with carter avs , choke is gone running an Edelbrock air gap intake .
Any ideas ?
Thanks .

Probably really fat on the mix screws at idle. Set the idle screws when warmed up. You should have to give it some pedal to keep it running when cold because it should be really lean when cold without your choke.

Is any of the choke assembly still on the carb, possibly a fast idle cam coming into play?

Make sure your initial timing is set properly before setting the carb.

Not mix I have to keep foot on gas when cold , timing is good , might be the choke assembly , thought I tied the choke down , will check it again . thanks
