Trunk carpet

In the trunk of my 74 se was a black carpet? trunk liner. I believe it was factory just because it even wrapped around the gas tank filler tube. Any one ever see this before?

Yup, I have the same thing in my Sport. Floor carpet and both side pieces and one across the tail panel.

Especially when those little bolts that hold the chrome trim on leak water into the trunk, and they do.
I pulled the nuts and washers and sealed them with silicone when I noticed it.

Thanks guys I was just wondering. Never saw carpet in any trunk except late models. I will put plastic type or rubber in.
