Trunk lid torsion bars+go-wing=which slot?

I've had a go-wing on my Dart Sport for some time now, and sometimes it doesn't want to stay open due to the increased weight. I know I need to move the bars to a different slot to increase spring tension. Question is, which one? The slots toward the rear of the car or front, and how many?

BTW, I found this handy tool on ebay for the job. Trying to avoid scratches.

If I remember rightly moving it towards the back winds up the torsion bars on the decklid for more tension.

The tool is okay, but I've always used a deep well socket and a long extension. Call me cheap, but I have those in my toolbox already.
