Trunk spring removal help please

I have found a 67 Dart at a junk yard. I can go cut the rear wheel wells out to replace the ones in my Dart. My car had the trunk springs already out from the previous owner along with one of the spring bracket being removed on the passenger side, so I have no clue how to remove the spring/torsion rods. I am leery about going out to cut out the wheel wells and not having what I need to remove the spring rods.

If I am not mistaken they are in a slot that you can just pull out of the slot. There isn't that much tension on them. I would have to look at my dart again to see its been a while.
