trunk wthr.strip adhesive

3M sells a gasket adhesive that most folks call "Gorilla Snot"
I'v had good results w/it.

The new weatherstrip I bought suggests 3m super weatherstrip adhesive. I just ordered some from Summit yesterday so I don't have actual experience with it yet.

black 3m stuff, Gorilla Snot is a fitting name for it....

I use good old contact cement, you know, the kind they use for counter top laminates. A gallon goes a long way, even when I gotta do a countertop!!! For some applications I'll use the spray can, but mostly just the gallon size!!! Geof

The 3M super weatherstrip adhesive works great, do one to two feet at a time, let it tack up and lay your weather strip on, and repeat. This stuff will hold up excellently.

try to get the black adhesive, it doesn't look as messy as the yellow stuff if there's any excess showing....
