My question is what is the diameter of a tuff wheel can . I'm thanking of trying to make one useing a old hub from a stock style steering wheel . Or converting an e body can to work on a body . Any pics with measurements nice . Thanks

...there are lots of E body cans around cheap.
i know guys who have used an E body can on an A body.
..if you find it bit long shorten it to your liking.

That's what I was thinking of doing guess the question is are the e body cans and the a,b body cans the same diameter ?

Well I tried to shorten the e body tuff wheel adapter to day and found out that the metal in the center is super thin my welder blew rite threw it . So it's back to the drawing board. I have a new ideal . And will be trying it this weak with pics. I'm going to make this work.

I have a stock E body tuff wheel can in my 1974 dart and I love it.

NICE.

I've had that project brewing in the back of my head for almost 20 years!

IDK why E body cans have always been 20% the cost as A/B cans, but they have.
I've been collecting them at $20 and under for two decades.
A/B cans have seen a spike in about the last 3 years.
From about $50 to about $150.

Whatever.

Not sure but I thank every e body had tuff wheel ? We're a. And b body's the tuff wheel was option . That would explain why. More e body cans than a b body's just a guess !

That had occurred to me.

What gauge sheet metal did you use for the wrap?
