Hey Guys... So i'm thinking about taking my 71 Duster to the next level with a single turbo. Question is, how much do you think i'll be into it to have a solid kick A street car? Car is a stock 360 with a mild cam, 750 Holley, Headman headers, 2.5" exhaust, and 3.55 gears. My goal is probably around 450 HP. Any ideas on cost would be appreciated!!

I'm planning twin turbo build for a 5.7 hemi (345 ci) and the turbos I was looking at were about 1200 to 1400 each. But I'm planning a 1400 hp build. And am going to use all new parts. You could possibly get a more mild turbo and save a bunch of cash going witth used parts. My guess is about 5 to7 grand, if you have to buy everything new.

Conservatively?

You need about $3500 to do a full single turbo setup.

That would cover:

Turbo Headers

Turbo, flanges, couplers, clamps, oil feed, oil drain, air filter.
Fuel Pump, Regulator, Upgraded Fuel Line, Blowthrough Carb, Carb Hat
Blow Off Valve, Wastegate, Charge Piping, Turbo Exhaust.

That DOES NOT Include ANY LABOR or tools.....and does not include a Boost Compatible Ignition system, anything in the cooling system, or any of the rest of the drivetrain....and all of that will need attention as well.

Its a costly, but worthwhile adventure.
Just a small turbo.....like a 62mm would make 450 Wheel Hp at 7psi no sweat.
I recommend a minimum of a 70mm compressor, and a T4 .86 AR exhaust on any single turbo V8.
