Getting our 67 ready for market is going very slow. Other things get in the way but yall already know how it goes.
The OEM 7&1/4 sbp rear is coming out so a 75 model 7&1/4 lbp rear can go in its place. My help in all this is limited to gathering the parts needed. That includes 4 new U bolts. The tail of the fish isn't off the ground yet.
Anyone happen to know or can easily check the U bolt dimensions for 7&1/4 tubes on basic 4 leaf springs?

i've got 6.12 OAL and 5.75 IL crotch to tip
OK, I can get the tube diameter easy enough but still need stock diameter, 7/16" or 1/2" , NF or NC ?
I'll go ahead and whine how it bugs me that if I was installing a 8&3/4 I could google "U bolts for 8 & 3/4 rear" and find them listed that way, Summit, Ebay.
Google for 7&1/4 rear and get generic u bolts only. Seems everything is aimed at the gearheads money.
A member here offers complete drum brake assemblies , 10 X 2.5. I ask him do they work on 7&1/4 rear and he says don't know, never been asked this before.

The rear spring clip, or U-bolt, for the 1975 7-1/4" A-body axle is 5-3/4 inches length, 7/16" diameter, with 7/16"-20 threads. The length is the straight part of the U-bolt. The length including the saddle portion is ~6 inches. The spacing of the U-bolt shanks for the axle tube is 2.75 inches.

The original part number of the U-bolt is 2834928. The 7/16"-20 nut original part number is 6023018.

That covers ALL the bases. Thanks
Also, when I pulled a drum I found everything about the rear brakes looked new. I did not have a clue was this the 73 model part or the 75 model part. When I told the wife what I had found she remembers, "When you bought that white car the guy told us he had spent over 200 on alignment and brakes only 2 weeks before the engine blew. You bought the car for 200. We pulled it home." I said,"yep. Slant with #5 rod through the block. She says "yep. You figured that before you looked."
