I desperately wanted to buy an Edsel once. (About thirty years ago, lol).
A sedan delivery version (incredibly rare!), big block four speed (352, if I remember right), I watched the price drop monthly, hoping it would fall into my price range.
The minute it did...... it disappeared. I assume sold, and apparently not to someone local, cause I never saw it again.
(I assumed it was either a wagon converted to look like a SD, or a Ford Courier, with Edsel sheet metal hung on it. Turns out, it was real. At the time I didn't even know such a thing existed!)

in the early eighties my Grandmother drove this Italian CitiCar that I thought was hideous!
My Dad drove me to school in it one morning and I laughed all the way! (At my dad, cuz he was a mopar guy)

I remember those very clearly, which is odd since my hometown is so small that there probably wasn't more than one.

55-62 300 letter cars were all beautiful. Later ones OK, but 55-62, I don't even have a favorite. All great.
A kid in high school (we both were) wanted to sell me his old car. I went to see it, but it needed stuff I couldn't do, and couldn't afford to have done, so I passed. On a $400 58 300D convertible (needed top and leather, and an engine overhaul).

The '59 300E is my favorite of the first gen 300 cars, by a lot!
