i'm trying to send a paypal . his address is the usual words @ yahoo.com BUT it is all
underscored". I have tried using the
shift" key and the underscore key above the letter P, but no way can I get it to work. I need to underscore under his whole name.???? what am I doing wrong?? tanks for any advice.
NO I can't hire a secretary!!! ha

Try typing the address with NO underscores....

Email / paypal addys show up as an underlined link.

Sorry, I was thinking he's trying to get it in the paypal text boxes.

Works here. Linux (Ubuntu / Mate and Firefox)

I don't understand, tho, why he needs it for PayPal. I've never had to fuss with anything like that sending money

is the underscore part of the address ?
like my_name2yahoo,com ?
if so, that is (shift -)

When you type an email address (e.g. my-addy@dev.null), many programs will add an underscore automagically, so it shows up as an email address. Same thing when you post a link (e.g. http://www.forabodiesonly.com)

For paypal, you can ignore that and just type the address

It's just something that is done so the addresses jump out as you as 'special' vs. plain text

No that is not why it's done. Email addresses are supposed to become active links and open your email program.

I got the Phillipino customer service paypal gal on the phone, she found the receips acct. the underscore is actually between the two names, so I got it finally sent! ha

those Phippipionos have a lot of patience! no doubt. my hearing is poor at best, bad phone line on their end, noise in background and they speak, i'm sure, perfect English BUT they run all their words together!!!!

thanks for the help. and buy the way my puter would never underscore words for me....!no matter what I tried! ha

and SOoooooo, he sends me a different address, the dash is between names, and the address paypal gives me is different too and wrong. so I call
"uncle".
