Hello all... I need some help here...

I will preface this entire post by saying the house is okay! Every person in the house is okay, and my dogs are okay.

Currently battling insurance, slowly looking up as they'll pay out on it... Quoted at $9500 and they wanted to total the damn car.

Please be reasonable with parts if you have them. If you are local or within an hour or two from Middletown, New York 10941 that would be perfect!

Long story short. I tried starting my duster from its winter slumber, and POOF it went up in flames. No idea what happened, either wires sparked or raw gas went up. I need the following parts... (please see attached)

There seems to be three wiring harnesses connected to the interior connector, I know one is the engine harness, one is the AC harness, but not sure what the other is! (help would be appreciated!)

I am currently waiting on a check from insurance! I will look at this post once I get my check as I currently have the money set aside for this incident... (who expected it you know?)

As soon as the check from the insurance company is on its way I will begin tear down and clean up. It's still in its current burnt state in case insurance needs additional photos or anything of that sort.

Forward light harness I would think
Okay! Perfect. I'll take a look... the engine harness says it includes it but I didn't see the other connector for the firewall, could be a generic photo.

Thanks for the advice!

Since all that wiring is connected to the wiring under the dash through the bulkhead connector, I would hit insurance up for a new underhood harness from M&H and a dash harness from the same source. No sensing in patching 50 year old wiring

The mods will probably delete this post as this is not in the parts wanted section. You need to put an add there outlining all the parts you need. It will get more views anyway. Sorry for your misfortune. I do hope you get it repaired.

Totally understand, but currently fighting insurance to pay out. Again they wanted to total it and send the car to auction or give me the time to buy it as a salvage.

I ended up making a deal with them, I keep the car, clean title, they mark it as a total loss, then drop my insurance. Which is all fine and dandy, once I hear their sending the check, im out! I'll cancel it myself so my rates don't go up...

Sorry for the rant! Okay, so the inside wiring is actually fine!
Looks as if the connectors should come right off from outside the firewall and they'll need a good clean.

One of the harnesses connected at the firewall mainly serves the wiper motor, and that harness for a 2 speed motor (what you have) is also available. I missed what year the car is...

By the way there is very little wiring to the AC so it is an add on to the engine harness I believe

Thanks! I'll re post in there!!

By the way, Kudos to you for not letting them total your car and washing your hands of it!!!
Thanks so much! I hate insurance, but sadly it's the necessary evil of this world.

Luckily the guy I worked with was awesome, calm, and collected. I didn't have to raise my voice once, which was SUPER surprising!
