well all of the parts are here for the rebuild of the #matching 340 that we used when we raced the car. new k/b pistons speed pro rings all new bearing arp head bolts & rod bolts the new comp cam big ma thumper flat tappet hyd cam and kit, eddy heads, air gap rpm intake with the 800cfm thunder carb enduro shine, new water pump and high vol oil pump hope to take the block, crank and rod to the mach shop next week does this look like a good combo for street show and some time at the strip we have 3:23 4:10 and 4:88 gear
 
With all the gears to choose from:-D I would say a dandy combo:thumbrig:
And the Eddy heads and good parts you are using:read2:

I think you have your valve wrong, sure it isnt .494 int. .507 exh? I would use the lunati voodoo 305 series if it were my car. call jegs for specs
 
You better run at least the 4.10's in that to make it run. It will need plenty of converter if an auto too.

i wouldn't stand behind the car at idle very long. That's a pretty big duration cam with plenty of overlap. It's going to gas you because of the overlap, raw fuel out the tailpipes.

the car is a orginal 4 speed car we ordered 10/70 and i allready have the cam and kit complete from comp the spec. i posted are off the spec sheet they sent with the cam the carb and manifold were recomened by both comp cam and eddy as a combo thou eddy allso recomened one of there cams but went with comp for the sound
 
340demon,are you going to have this engine in your car at the end of the world cruise this year?,it was great to meet you last year and you have a really cool piece of history.11s with a 340 four speed demon and racing at the winter-nats,you have lived alot of guys dreams.
 
our goal is to have it in and running before the run to end of the world and have parked with you guys again we have a room res. so we will not have to make the 100 mile one way two time like last year drive
 
adjustable rockers would be a better idea and cheaper 340 d I also think your duration to lift is quite high. I would have used the voodoo 284 292 with 242 int 252 exh at .050 with .533 it lift and .552 exhaust, but I run a comp roller in my big block dart, .660 lift.106 c-line,.050 duration272 int 280 exh.lobe seperation of 110.at .050 intake opens 30 btdc closes 62,and exh opens74 bbdc and closes at 26 .full duration is 309 intake and 317 intake, I also run sharp 1.6 rollers, this thing shakes the house and is used as a street car most of the time.stay with the 4.10 gear and a 3500 minimum converter. regards
 
mopar1962 your coments are good but the roller rocker i allready have from a swap deal i made several years ago so i consider them free and i think i will not use a conveter on my four speed truck driver shift things LMAO thank four your coments
