Ridiculous as that looks, it was the norm back in the early 70's. Seems like everyone was fabricating longer shackles in high school shops class. The goal was usually tire clearance, but it lent a "funny car" look and it was a badge of honor to have the longest shackles, no matter how unsafe the practice was. Darwin award anyone? Still, the worst was yet to come. Mid 70's brought disco and look how silly that made us look!

I remember seeing them lowering the rear and raising the front of the hot rod's
drag racers back in the day  weight transfer.

While I've always liked a bit of a "rake", that car reminds me of the g-body GM's that used to run around here in High School, mostly by the farm boys. Funny thing is, most of them were running stock-sized tires!!! LMAO!

Ahhhhhh, the classic "stink bug" stance!Cool at one time, probably not so much now!:-D

Sorry, not a Mopar, but you get the idea...

Like what was mentioned earlier, that was just the "Look" of the day. That guy obviously is stuck in 1977.

I thought it was that way so when the little hondas tailgate it, it just drops down and squished them:cheers:

I'll take a stab at it, it was taking in Vancouver....right ?
