after maidan voyage!!!! ok i did order a crapy rebuild kit for the front joint on this 64...waited for temps to get in the 70s....yah puss so what.....when insp the joint after tare down...it was still lubed...but greese was oe hard......left the bering post alone as it had no issues.....the kit from andy b's was junk...yah yah if yours worked ..great for you...but bering caps would not go on my shaft that was good..the little slide shims where way to thick..would not even start into the grove...so..just re used all oe parts after a good clean and lube....boot never had a chance of survival as during its injection molding it had thin areas ..will say the thick parts of the bellowes where tough.........in the end i made my own boot as ive done many times from polyester fleese.........put in the new fuel tank 115 bucks from car parts.com...it was better made then the one from canada.......made in tawian....no plastic bag just hvy box....it comes with a hvy coating on the outside and a clear coat inside.....fit like a glove no leeks....installed all the new push rods set lash....ran till hot....then with stethoscope did a tweek on the noisy rockers........boom!!!...test drive was a 95%.....the slightest vibe @ about 25mph then gone...the new ss fuel sending unit works..but imo should show better for 6-7 gal.........after fill up ill know better.....NOTE.....dart hardtop radius down slope in the interior trim headliner to side glass is less then valiant...but they work with tlc...of course you must add 4.5 inch of length at the end with contour...

ive done these for mudders /sand rails ,and just guys the take there hunting rigs where they should not...seem to stay untill someone wants to cut them off...the center ties are not tight only the ends are as for slip action theres plenty of extra for that...as the action on this is very little....when doing a truck slip theres much more extra..

I actually kinda like that. Pretty imaginative. BUT, I think I would eliminate the two inner zip ties. I believe you'll find they will make it difficult for the foam to flex as the drive shaft moves in and back out of that front trunnion joint.

tks man.....the middle ties are loose..only to keep the over flap in place....for my own use i dont seal (melt the seam)....as when i did a test on jack stands... the drive shaft is not bad....its also not true..i will at some point go to a new slip yoke driveline....but for now it ill do!!!

I had some difficulties with my andy b kit as well. Getting that boot on was tough. Glad I could get the parts though.

I don't recall. I know I couldn't get the tin to fit the studs. And basically the only issue was the boot needed to be replaced. Had all the black fiber grease still packed.
