I have a set of A arms I was about to repaint and noticed the upper ball joint threads are practically non-existant. Is this normal when you back out ball joints? I know they have an interference fit. Will new ball joints thread in and attach securely?

Thanks

It looks like they may still work. If they feel sloppy after being in just tack weld them to keep them there. Someone else may have a better idea.

I had A parts car that had them welded in. First time I had seen this , But other people say this is the fix. They seem to have held up good.

i just replaced teh Arms on my 72 cuda the last nerd that put in ball joints didn't unscrew and forked them up so he welded 3 tacks in and Ruined them that added $500 to a front end rebuild got some stainless Just suspension jobs and they are GREAT looking and as of noon (post alignment tomorrow ill know how it drives.
