used spindell

My old one had one hole with threads in it the used one i got now does not.Will this still work? with all the bad luck that i have been having I thought I would ask all you exsperts.69 dart 10 inch drum brake.Wish me luck boys and gales,

You sure no hole? clean real good? If so I would`nt use it without one, unless they use Jamnuts, which I`ve never seen, or would trust.

Ther are 4 holes my old had 3 with no threads and one with.The one i got now has 4 holes no threads in any.

Which holes are you refering to? I was assuming the hole/holes used to retain the wheelbearing nut+cage? If not sounds like wrong style spindle

The two bottom holes in the spindell the ball joint bolts on to it

If it were me I`d try to match your original, unless now all they offer is a universal/ "cover more than one model" spindle. If the geometry is exact, some guys may throw some grade 8 bolts and locknuts, and call it done. your decrepency.

Thats the way i will go.Imean if one side had no threads and held on with a nut and bolt no reason the outher side cant be the same.
