Hi everyone. Has anyone been able to use the 22 in. radiator from an A/C six on a 360? From what I read it looks like it's the same radiator that was used on V8 models in 1972. It's a two core but did they make a three core? The guy at the radiator shop thought it would be okay but I'd like to have some other opinons. Thanks.

Uh hose size and location may be diff. Yep lower hose is 1 3/4" vs 1 1/2"

Upper hose is on the opposite side.

My 273 V8 radiator is the same 19 inch wide as the slant 6
in 1964, there was no 22 inch wide.

Auto Zone etc. may be able to help you cheap.

Does the 19 in. cool okay? I measured it and it's 22X17 but it has scaling inside. I ran it for awhile but it overheats after I stop for a minute. Used a upper hose of a 70 Mach 1 with a 351. Now it looks like a gamble between getting it rodded out or just buy a new one. Thanks

I would just buy a new one,
if your engine sees any hard useage,
Or you live south of Me.

My 19 inch cools ok, my 318 engine, that has a high flow pump,
and high flow 180f t'stat, but it can get warm in a traffic jam. :(

I can't use a fan shroud, with the 19 inch radiator tho. :wack:

1965/66 V8 cars went to 22 inch and you can use a shroud with the 22".

A shroud helps a ton in slow traffic, and at red lights.

my 2 cents worth anyways.
