Using an automatic housing with a manual flywheel? Can it be done?

-
I used a 3 speed bellhousing and flywheel off a 1966 318 poly to spin 273's, 318's, and 360's. Didn't run them though, just spun them for compression and oil pressure checks.

This is for a big block. I don’t think they have one for SB 318.
They make them for a small block! I bought one to use on my stand with a 130 tooth flywheel and worked beautifully! I think it was like $24.00 or something! This guy makes a bunch of helpful items! Recommended! Here's the guys link on ebay! Security Measure

rzplatesandmore this is the name if that link didn't work! Sorry I'm a bit computer world illiterate!

Steve Iverster has a big MOPAR salvage yard in NC near Shelby! Great guy! Lawndale, NC ! There are other threads about his biz on this site! He will ship! He is knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful! Has great stuff and great deals!

If you lived closer I would help you out with both things but I’m not in NC

Thank you. I’ll give him a try. I just need a flywheel now.

I used to go past that place quite often back in the '90's, but never stopped. Oak Grove Clover Hill Church Road goes right by it, but from that road it looks like a private collection in a farm field. The actual business is on Mauney Road, just off Clover Hill. Wish I had known....haven't been back that way in nearly 20 years.

Yes Mauney Road that's the one. He actually has two salvage yards out there! Pretty cool to look around the yard when I was there and bought some items from him! He has a lot of cool Mopar's out there! He's good people! My son bought a ultra clean 73 charger from him! Original 400, 4 speed car! Has 440 in it now, but no rust couldn't even find a repair!

If the number above doesn't work out, shoot me a PM and I'll dig Steve's cell number out. Pretty sure I have it on one of his cards out in the shop. Steve has a ton of stuff. He is always set up at Mopars at The Rock and Farmington Dragway Mopar shows.

I've been wracking my brain trying to think of Mopar guys I know in your area, but drawing a blank! :BangHead: How far are you from Lillington?
I am back! I had 10 flex plates and the correct bell housing. Spent the day measuring and counting teeth. OP said the converter that was in the donor trans was 122 teeth.
