using push button shifter to operate newer 904/727

Has anyone found a way to use the push button shifter to operate a 904/727 that has metal linkage. Was thinking if you made a bracket to mount the shift cable/star wheel..that could push the lever ? might work ? Might loose Low 1 / but might be able to keep the park function ?? ideas ??

there is/was a company that does/did that in the winter months. i will try to find out the name and report back. you may cal A&A trans and ask them.
