Not all of us young technicians are "bad." we all need to make a living those few of us who do have a passion for older vehicles and understand different systems should be compensated for our knowledge & skill. I believe that it is the technicians & facility's responsibility to stay competitive & economical within the community. I apologize for the rant & hijack but I recently was accused of being a crook by a classmate who asked me to come look @ his car after I told him where to start looking he tried failed I negotiated a price to come out... 5 minutes with the car and I was done. He didn't want to pay. After much argument I left unpaid with the car unfixed (found the open circuit, repaired the ground it worked fine he wouldn't pay I cut my repair out & left). He later apologized & tried to pay but I was done with him.
