Situation: I have a 1971 Demon /6. Installing Schumacher /6 to 318 adapter mounts (318/727). Plan is for large bolt pattern wheels.

Questions: I need a 73+ V8 center link if I go the route of big ball joint UCA's, LBP wheels, and '73+ spindles, correct? If I stay with small ball joints and do a brake kit to achieve 5x4.5 LBP then I need a 67-72 V8 center link? Unrelated, will the /6 904 crossmember work with a 727? The trans has a D100 tailshaft (fitment issues?).

Notes: TTi or Doug's headers, Borgeson p/s box (73+ pitman and idler required? That eliminates 67-72 parts). Can't think of anything else that's relevant to this but help me out if I'm forgetting something. If you have a 1973+ center link and 73+ A/F/M/J spindles I would buy those too for the large taper.

If you don't have a way to get discount shipping I have a Pirate Ship account and can send a shipping label via mail or email for you to print and attach to the package. I can pay Venmo, PayPal, USPS money order or bank drafted check.

Best Regards,

You don't need to change a thing, other than the disc brake specific parts. The large upper ball joints only affect the need for the later UCAs. Your existing lower control arms, centerlink, pitman and idler arms, and tie rod ends will fit the disc parts just fine.
The center link is the same between slant six and V8. The different centerlink thing is on early As, '66 and earlier. Different animal than your '71.
