Vacuum Plating Fiberglass?

-
Wow, that does look nice, and beat's silver bumpers all day long.

I have a friend who does plastic chrome plating--real chrome applied just like the OE. (AutoInstruments in Virginia). I talked to him about this, and he said he could do fiberglass, but if he did a bumper, it would look like crap in short order: it doesn't stand up to rock, bugs, etc. at all.

I imagine the constant, direct sunlight and weather would also take a toll on it.

I am just trying to further my sleeper image.

That paint should do the trick, and its something I can do.

now I just need someone to make some aluminum cop car wheels :D

I've been meaning to try out that paint for quite awhile, and it looks like it works great. I can't imagine vacuum metalizing would be very durable on fibreglass in an outside application. I did have some extremely nice (actual, real) chrome plating done on some plastic and fibreglass exterior pieces some years back by Custom Coatings Corp in Florida, and their work has held up perfectly. 850-562-0538.
