Is there a difference between a lockup and non lock valve bodies? If so, what are the differences?

Yes they are different. The lockup has valving that controls torque converter lock feature. Here's a link to a page that has some pictures of the different valve bodies.

You'll notice the lockup one has a transfer tube for the lockup control. It's the pix in the 2nd row down, 2nd pix from left. If you hold your browser over the pictures it will give you a quick description of what each one is. Click on the pix and it will blow it up so you can see it better.
