This is probably a really stupid question, but how did you secure that in the lathe? Did you have to make a fixture?

So with the retainers 63gt fixed up for me here is where I will be.
Head 1

Ex 1.65 stock

In 1.635- 1.655

In 1.635 1.655

Ex 1.65 stock

Ex 1.655 stock

In 1.64 stock

In 1.64 stock

Ex 1.655 stock

Head 2

Ex 1.65 stock

In 1.615 1.635

In 1.635 1.655

Ex 1.635 1.655

Ex1.64 stock

In 1.615 1.635

In 1.62 1.65

Ex 1.655 stock
All these heights will get me where I need to be as far as coil bind is concerned.
