Vehicle Lap top mounts........Recommendations??

Looking to purchase one for my work truck.

Any real world input appreciated.

In this day and age of plastic, plastic & more plastic, hard to tell from website pics what is really being bought.

Check around the truck stops. They have a nice steel one that would probably hold up nice. A bit pricey though, if I recall, around 300 bucks.

You may have to check more than one, some of them have it and some don't. I have seen them more at the TA's then anywhere else. You may have to check in the shop store not the regular store.

Of course if you can make one, that's what I would do.

Look into www.jottodesk.net, they are the same ones the boys at the cop shops use. I looked into one a few years back, but was taken off the road so I didn't need it anymore. Theirs were a bit pricey IMO, but they were sturdy and installed with hand tools and torx bits for the seat bolts.
