Vent Window Weatherstrip

Does the rear vent window on a 74 Duster have to come apart to install new weatherstripping?

Yes. Drill out the 1 piece rivets that hold the frame together (top/bottom corner). Use short pop rivets to reassemble. Instead of a single long rivet that runs through the frame you'll use two - one on either side - both top and bottom.

Drilled them out, added a little WD 40 and reinstalled in less then 15 minutes. If I was only smart enough to order the felts I would have been done!
