Out of left field, and a bit obscure, but I find myself going to different forums on here and jumping to the beginning of the forums, which seem to start around 2004, and clicking on members to see when they were last on FABO. Almost an indication of how long they were in the hobby. Some from 2004 are still milling around, doing their thing which is cool to see...and plenty of others that didn't last long at all, for whatever reason. Some joined, asked a question or two and ducked out.
Then I start wondering what happened to them. I'm sure some finished their project and moved on..Some (a lot im sure) ran out of funds...different life events arose and forced them out. Some just lost interest.
The reason I started doing this is a while back I noticed quite a few dropped out during Covid.. Their "last seen" date was in the middle of the pandemic and just made me wonder if they were victims of the pandemic, either death, illness or financial. Yep, too much time on my hands I guess....and maybe a little weird...lol
