Vimyl Top Removal

Is there a post somewhere outlining a step by step on the removal of the vinyl top.
The only question I see is the chrome strips around the raer glass. I saw a car back in the dim dark past that had the vinyl removed but the chrome did not seat properly. It left a gap.

I have a personal preference to not have a vinyl top.

Any info on how to get the chrome to seat properly after removal would be helpful.
