Vin search! 68 barracuda notchback

Trying to trace back some information on my notchback. It's a 68 barracuda and the vin I have from the dash is BH23B8B237729. Can't find anything as sites say it's too short! Data plate isn't much help either but I would really like to know the history etc.

The new car vins are longer that's why you can't put an old vin into them.

So took the hood off today and poked around. Looks like it's got a 4 bbl on it and effenhauser headers. According to my mopar engine book that the previous owner gave me it's set up for racing? Which explains the fibreglass fenders and hood. Cool set up I guess?
