VIN tag question

Which way? numbers readable from sitting in the car or outward so that it's legible while standing outside the car with the door open.

They weren't put on the dash pad until 68...

Before that, they were on the front door post at the front of the driver door opening...

Its located on the door post. Were they riveted on from the factory? mine looked super glued.

on my 65, numbers Vertical with tops inboard, so if you turn your head to the right you can read them.
