Jim is a friend of mine, I help hunt parts/sources/contacts for the Seattle Metropolitian Police Museum. Really a nice guy, great cop...and where else will you see vintage Mopar squads still on patrol? Only in Seattle. This story hit the AP wire and was picked up by papers across the US as well as a couple in Europe. This is the kind of thing I wish Chrysler would get involved in!

Feel free to share this all over- Moparts, B-body forums,Bangshift, HotRod...the more the merrier! This is the kind of PR the SPD can use, as well as Chrysler and maybe inspire other departments out there to restore one of their 'vintage' units

Man, that is so sweet. Love the old cop cars. I have good memories of the locals with their 383 Furies and the State boys with their 440's coming into our service station a lot when I was a teenager.

This is such a great idea and what fantastic pr and just overall community relations. I am trying to figure out where I can share this next.

They have about a dozen cars (mostly Mopar) and a freshly-donated '72 Harley that they are doing. I help locate car stuff, and Jim has just started to look into the Harley (it's pretty rough). Cool thing is, all their vehicles are Seattle/King County/local cops/stater rigs. None are 'tributes,' or from somewhere else...
I help out with the car stuff, but the HD stuff is out of my wheel house. Any ideas where to look for vintage H-D stuff?
This is their website. Any ideas where to look or find help, they'd love it!

They've got a '66 Fury, an '80 E58 Aspen, an '88 Gran Fury, '03 Crown Vic, (2) '76 Dart cop cars (one 318, one 360), and some other various cars. Next time I'm at "The Ranch" I'll get pictures of the cars and parts. It's really something else

i think i might have a better chance getting off on the tickets if i get pulled over by this guy. lol.

id just offer him a new cam shaft and a set of headers.

A -100 I talked with You or Jim afew years back . I had parts on Craigslist but not what You needed. You talked a little about the build and restoration program. I think you were looking for a fuel return line for that paticular model ,only found on HI PO intercepters? Good to see it done .Great job.

Looks like Chrysler has began to see these news reports on these Mopar cop cars...

Was in Allpar the other day, and CBS in Dallas interviewed Jim on this program the SPD/SMPM have going on. Kathy G and Rick P in Chrysler's PR department also have gotten wind of this, as have the Dodge and Chrysler ad agencies (Wieden & Kennedy and Fallon, respectively)
