Hello All, I need to order a rear window weatherstrip seal for a 1971 Scamp, the car was a no post vinyl top car and it has been removed and body worked. The classic industries catalog shows a seal for a Vinyl top car, a 2/4 Door Sedan and a 2 Door Hardtop.
PART # MP41202 for 67-76 w/vinyl top $329.99
PART # MP41203 for 69-71 2/4 dr sedan $259.99
PART # MA9810 for HT except Dart Sport $ 78.99

My Wallet is voting for the Hard Top.

I really need some help figuring this out.

Thanks
NW Chuck

If I'm understanding you correctly, you're not replacing the vinyl top and it's a hardtop car, yes?

If that's the case, the rear seal for a hardtop will be your choice. The difference between the two gaskets is that the vinyl top gasket was different to accomodate the vinyl.

I have a 71' Dart Swinger that originally had the vinyl top which is no longer The case and when I replaced the rear gasket, I went with the hardtop gasket and it fit with no issues. I hope that this answers your question.
